• Classical Education

  Blake supports expanding My Brother's Keeper and My Sister's Keeper programs, canceling federal student debt, protecting and strengthening the Department of Education, and expanding evidence-based programs in mentoring, literacy, debate, and career pathways.

• Medicare for All

  Blake supports Medicare for All to provide universal, comprehensive coverage with no premiums, no deductibles, and no surprise bills. He also advocates for safe staffing ratios, workplace violence protections, and fair contracts for nurses, and increased federal funding for Black and Latina maternal healthcare including access to doulas and midwives.

• Immigration Reform

  Blake proposes an Immigrant Bill of Rights that includes prosecuting ICE for crimes, repealing the Laken Riley Act, requiring real accountability in enforcement (enforcing anti-mask law against federal agents, requiring visible identification, establishing Safe Havens), guaranteeing due process and legal representation, protecting family unity, protecting workers with TPS, protecting privacy by banning local data sharing with ICE without a warrant, and guaranteeing access to safety and services regardless of immigration status.

• Family Budget: Groceries, Child Care, Energy and Transit

  Blake proposes lowering grocery bills through the Healthy Food Financing Initiative, lowering energy bills via efficiency upgrades and investigating Con Edison price-gouging, making child care free for low-income families and more affordable for the middle class, protecting food benefits with secure EBT cards, and expanding fare-free transit for low-income New Yorkers.

• Climate Justice

  Blake advocates for climate accountability by re-joining international agreements and holding polluters accountable, investing in green jobs through a Green Jobs Academy, prioritizing environmental justice for communities like the South Bronx, and climate-proofing public housing, hospitals, and schools.

• Puerto Rico

  Blake supports Puerto Rican self-determination, ending the PROMESA fiscal control board, fighting land grabs and opportunity zone abuse, canceling or restructuring Puerto Rico's debt, abolishing the Jones Act, restoring PREPA as a public utility, rebuilding public health and education, cleaning up military contamination, and ensuring full federal labor protections for Puerto Rican workers.

• Protecting Jewish Communities and Combating Antisemitism

  Blake rejects antisemitism, Islamophobia, anti-Black racism, anti-Asian hate, and gender- or sexual orientation-based discrimination. He supports federal funding for synagogue and Jewish community center security, strengthening hate crime enforcement, protecting access to kosher food programs and Jewish cultural institutions, and rejecting the weaponization of antisemitism to silence legitimate dissent.

• Housing

  Michael Blake's housing plan includes ending credit score requirements for affordable housing and first-time homeownership, raising income limits on applications, using local median income instead of area median income, implementing a rent freeze for rent-stabilized tenants, fixing the NYCHA repair backlog, and building more affordable homes including for seniors. He emphasizes housing stability and preventing displacement.
