Wei-Li Tjong is a Democratic candidate for New York State Assembly District 65. He has lived in the district for over 50 years, growing up in Seward Park Cooperative on the Lower East Side after his immigrant parents moved there in the mid-1970s. A lawyer for 25 years, he is running to advocate for affordable housing, public safety, and economic opportunity for working families.
Lifelong resident of Assembly District 65 (Lower East Side/Chinatown)
Son of immigrants who were public school teachers
Attended Torah Head Start, PS 124, Dalton School
Earned scholarships to Johns Hopkins University (undergraduate, high honors) and NYU Law
Practiced law for 25 years, acting as a fiduciary for clients and community
