Yuh-Line Niou is a former New York State Assembly member for the 65th district (2017–2022) and a current candidate for New York State Senate District 27. She is an immigrant, a queer woman of color, and a survivor of sexual assault who has advocated for immigrant rights, language access, and working-class issues. Niou was the first Asian American elected to the Assembly for her district and previously ran for Congress in 2022.
