Mike Scala supports a temporary moratorium on energy rate hikes while the state conducts a full regulatory review, and investing in diverse energy sources to reduce reliance on volatile markets. He also supports reforming auto insurance so rates are based on driving history rather than credit scores, and standardizing Tier 6 pension contributions at 3% with retirement eligibility at age 55 after 30 years of service. Additionally, he will work to cut red tape and simplify compliance for small businesses.

Pesach will protect community input, oppose overdevelopment, and focus on policies like property tax relief and homeowner protections.

Mike Scala will make a housing attorney available to provide constituents with legal information and guidance, and to hold neglectful and abusive landlords accountable. He also supports fast-tracking cases involving chronic nonpayment with ability to pay, repeated lease violations, and property damage by small landlords, while preserving protections for tenants who genuinely need assistance.

Pesach supports law enforcement, believes repeat offenders should be held accountable, and will push for real mental health solutions that make communities safer for everyone.

Mike Scala supports funding police departments while expanding programs that pair officers with trained mental health professionals and crisis responders. Pesach will protect the Cross Bay Bridge rebate, expand Fair Fares, and push forward QueensLink to connect communities and provide a real alternative to long commutes.

Mike Scala supports the QueensLink project to create a north-south subway line in Queens with added parkland. He advocates for eliminating the Cross Bay Bridge toll so travel to and from Rockaway is not a financial burden. He also believes revenues from congestion pricing should be reinvested directly into transportation improvements for the communities that pay into the system, not diverted to the General Fund.
