Micah C. Lasher is a Democratic member of the New York State Assembly for District 69 and the Democratic nominee for New York's 12th congressional district in the 2026 election. He has held senior roles including Director of Policy for Governor Kathy Hochul, Chief of Staff to the New York State Attorney General, and Director of State Legislative Affairs for New York City under Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Lasher is a born-and-raised Upper West Sider and has authored a comprehensive housing package described as the first serious attempt by a New York governor since the 1960s to tackle the state's housing shortage.
