Komatireddy plans to recover at least $1 billion in stolen Medicaid funds during her first term by aggressively prosecuting Medicaid fraud, and to return those recovered dollars to New Yorkers through a tax refund. She cites poor performance of the current Medicaid Fraud Control Unit under Letitia James.

Komatireddy proposes a zero-tolerance policy for transit crimes, including creating a Transit Crimes Strike Force to prosecute offenses that district attorneys are not pursuing, banning repeat and violent offenders from the subway, and supporting legislation for enhanced penalties for crimes committed on mass transit (e.g., making assault in transit a felony, treating murder in transit as first-degree murder, and creating a new felony for reckless endangerment on public transportation).

Komatireddy opposes a proposed tax on homeowners' estates, arguing it punishes immigrant families and communities of color who have worked to build homeownership. She pledges to protect property rights as attorney general.
