Ruskay advocates for expanding the affordable housing revolving loan fund, doubling state housing capital investment to $10 billion over five years to produce 200,000 affordable units, banning AI-generated or altered apartment photos, increasing NYCHA funding, creating a civil right to counsel in eviction proceedings, strengthening tenant protections, protecting rent stabilization, and establishing a maximum rent of 30% of household income for older adults and people with disabilities in SCRIE/DRIE.

Ruskay supports the New York For All Act to prohibit local law enforcement from assisting ICE, the MELT Act to require federal agents to show their faces, protecting people from arrest within 1000 feet of sensitive locations, guaranteeing access to legal representation for immigrants facing deportation, and allowing New Yorkers to sue federal officials in state court for constitutional rights violations. She also calls for abolishing ICE.

Ruskay supports expanding New York's Paid Family Leave program, protecting teachers, nurses, and frontline workers with retirement security, supporting Career Pathways Training in the state budget to recruit health and social care workers, supporting workplace organizing drives, and enforcing strong labor protections and fair wages.
