George Latimer won the seat in November 2024 after defeating incumbent Jamaal Bowman in the Democratic primary, and faces Republican attorney Joseph J. Cinquemani on Nov. 3. In the 2024 presidential race the district voted 66.2% for Kamala Harris and 33.1% for Donald Trump.
