Open Texas Senate seat after Cornyn's runoff loss
After Talarico won the Democratic primary, Paxton beat Cornyn in the Republican runoff for the open Class II seat. Brown is the printed Libertarian candidate; four write-ins are certified, and September polls of registered and likely voters gave Talarico 50-44, 46.4-45.2 and 47-46 leads.
