Would restore judicial discretion to consider public-safety risks for repeat violent offenders while preserving protections for low-income people charged with nonviolent offenses. She also proposes transparent, auditable, bias-tested risk tools and tighter shelter rules near schools and playgrounds.

Housing and rents

Would overhaul property-tax assessments for multifamily rental buildings, tie housing exemptions to long-term affordability, and remove long-term vacant units from rent-stabilization constraints when extensive rehabilitation is needed. She also proposes repair credits and returning rehabilitated units to market rate.

Energy and climate

Would prioritize reliable, zero-emission baseload power by investing in nuclear energy and exploring a reopening or replacement of Indian Point's capacity. She also proposes lifting the fracking ban, opposing infrastructure spending she considers inefficient, and requiring grid-reliability and emissions accounting.
