Where they stand
Public safety and criminal justice
Would restore judicial discretion to consider public-safety risks for repeat violent offenders while preserving protections for low-income people charged with nonviolent offenses. She also proposes transparent, auditable, bias-tested risk tools and tighter shelter rules near schools and playgrounds.
