Liz Krueger is the State Senator for New York's 28th District and was first elected to the New York State Senate in 2002. She is chair of the Senate Finance Committee. Before entering the Senate, she worked for 15 years as associate director of the Community Food Resource Center and was the founding director of the New York City Food Bank.
